Hi, I’m Lindsey.
I’m the owner and main baker of Paper Moon Pastries. The idea of running my own coffee shop/bakery has been my own sort of ‘Paper Moon,’ a childhood dream I’ve returned to year after year since my grandma first taught me how to roll a kolache. After years of trial and error, dreamin’ and schemin’, I finally opened the doors to this vintage-inspired bakery on May 21st, 2022.
My genuine hope is that everyone who walks through the doors of this bakery feels instantly at home, comforted by the nostalgia of vintage charm and historic recipes. In this world of quick access and instant gratification, plenty of things have lost their meaning, but Paper Moon strives to put the love back into food experiences using long standing family recipes and simple, wholesome ingredients.
Our menu features air roasted coffee by The Coffee Roaster, cinnamon rolls, caramel pecan rolls and kolaches (all made from my great-grandmother’s dough recipe), as well as a full menu of rotating baked goods made with local, seasonal ingredients. All of our cupcakes/cakes are gluten-friendly as well as some of our cookies, and we rotate the menu weekly. You can find our menu posts on Facebook or Instagram, so make sure to follow us there! We are a small batch bakery—every treat you taste is baked from scratch by me (and my mom makes the pies)—which means everything has limited availability but there are no pre-made mixes here!
If you have any questions, don’t worry— you can find me behind the case any given Saturday, boxing up those baked goods, so make sure to ask away!
