Are you an artist, farmer, maker, crafter or creator? We’re seeking vendors for our 3rd Annual Once in a Blue Moon Fall Festival! This has been an incredibly fun and successful event with several thousand attendees the past few years, and we are excited to grow the event even larger this year! We warmly welcome anyone who has crafts or art they would like to share.
A one time registration fee based on vendor space size will be collected in order to register. This is a non-refundable fee to ensure commitment to the event. You can find the “Pay Registration Fee” button at the bottom of this page.
Want to be a vendor at our Fall Festival Farmers’ & Makers’ Market? Register here!
The Farmers’ and Makers’ Market is part of our Once in a Blue Moon Fall Festival every year! It is an outdoor event located on the main street of Cortland, Nebraska on Saturday, October 12th from 9am - 3pm. We warmly welcome all artists, farmers, makers, and creators to sell at our Market! No direct sales at this time. Please make sure your items are family friendly, as there will be all ages present :)
HOURS:
Published hours of the event are 9 a.m. to 3p.m. on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. Once you have paid and have confirmation of your spot, you may go directly to your space and set up. All vendors must be set up and ready to sell by 9am and are required to stay for the duration of the event (until 3pm). More info regarding set up times will be sent out as we approach the event. Please check in at Paper Moon Pastries with any questions.
SPACE INFORMATION:
Spaces are $25 for a 12’ x 12’ section, or $45 for two spaces. IMPORTANT FOR FIRST TIME VENDORS: To ensure commitment, a deposit of $75 for one space or $100 for two spaces will be required for FIRST TIME VENDORS. You will be refunded the difference at the end of the event (for example, if you paid $75 for one space, you will be refunded $50 after you have attended the event. If you paid $100 for two spaces, you will be refunded $55). If you do not show, you will not be refunded your deposit.
The deposit for newbies is just to ensure that people show up. We had about 15 or so ghost us completely/no show last year, and thought maybe a deposit might help curb that a bit (it's just exhausting to map everything out to then have a bunch of empty spaces). We promise the goal of this event is to give exposure to your small businesses and hopefully make you some money, not spend it on a registration fee! Thank you in advance for understanding! :)
Spaces will set up on main street in Cortland, NE. The boundary lines of your space will be clearly marked. You will be asked to move your booth if you are outside your allotted area. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, and tents, as well as any other items necessary for their displays. Parking is available and location will be provided. You will receive a space assignment number a few days prior to the event and will be free to set up at the corresponding number on the day of the event. Early set up may be available this year (Friday evening) however, more information about this will be confirmed as we get closer to the event. An email will be sent out with your space assignment and more detailed information a few weeks prior to the event. If you have any questions regarding set up, please contact Lindsey :)
ELECTRICITY:
Electricity for this event is limited, however, there are a few spaces that will have electricity available. Food trucks/vendors will have first claim to electricity due to food requirements.
REFUNDS:
Registration fees are non-refundable.
TAXES:
Payment of Nebraska Sales Tax is 100% vendor responsibility. Sales tax rate in Gage County is 6% so please plan accordingly.
FOOD VENDORS:
No outside food or beverages may be sold at the Market without explicit permission from the Market Organizer. Food vendors that fall outside of Nebraska Cottage Law must have a valid Nebraska Food Permit. A copy of this permit must be provided to the Market Organizer at the beginning of the Market prior to 9 a.m. If you are unsure if you fall under Nebraska Cottage Law, please reference your items here: https://foodsystems.unl.edu/cottage-food-law?fbclid=IwAR3WsLCXtvb6R7-G0ViU4EA3nyCZG1yKS5Xb5Was8NNJQUhUsekHMRBxyf4
